VALOR X TARA 7/9/15

TerraCotta's newest litter is on the ground!!! Tana's daughter Tara whelped 10 pups on July 9, 2015. We have 6 boys and 4 girls, all with what seem to be show quality ridges, which was my plan! I love it when things go right. What didn't go right was that they were born about 5 days before I expected them to be! We had a planned visit at the vet's on July 9 for an x-ray to see about how many pups to expect. X-ray showed anywhere from 10 -12 pups. My plan was to take Tara to work with me for the rest of the day, which I did, but when I got to work she started having contractions and had 3 pups in the back of my van! I called my husband Eric to come and get me and she had 3 more on the way home during a huge downpour. Somehow, we all managed and the last 4 got to be born where I had planned....in the whelping box in my mudroom. Tara took it all in stride and mom and pups are doing well. These pups will be ready for their new homes sometime in September if everything goes according to plan. Tara is one single point away from her AKC Grand Championship. We will get that later this year after the pups are gone and she gets her figure back. The lucky stud dog is Valor (GCH, U-Ch Azize's Purple Heart SC, FCH) owned by Teri and Wayne Olson in WI.  Valor is a multiple Best of Breed and Group placing dog since his show career began and is still going strong is 2015 with more BOBs and Group placements.  Here's  a link to his page where you can see his health clearances too:  Valor.  If interested in a pup from this exciting litter, please fill out the puppy application on another page of this site and try to set up a visit to meet me and my dogs and to help decide if this is the right breed for you.

Below are almost weekly updated photos of each individual pup.

Here's a photo of the love birds in front of  Teri and Wayne's motor home. They graciously let us stay there while at their home in WI to have Tara bred.

Genny also has her own page which will have more photos and news as it happens. We hope she will help to carry on the TerraCotta line soon!
